Serbia’s consumer prices rose by 15.1% in April, after increasing by an annual 16.2% the month before, the statistical office said on Friday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Serbia’s consumer price index (CPI) went up by 0.7% in April, after rising by 0.9% in March, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.
The biggest price increases in annual terms were observed in the sector of food and non-alcoholic beverages, of 23.1%, followed by housing, water and energy (+21.6%) and restaurant and hotel services (+21.5%).
On a monthly comparison basis, prices of clothing and footwear rose by 2.6% in April. Prices of healthcare services added 1.5%, household equipment and maintenance rose by 1.2%, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco edged up 0.9%.
