Belex at highest level since September 2008

The domestic stock market has increased over the past five weeks, with moderate trading activity. The total turnover on the market amounted to RSD 919.4m (EUR 7.8m), while the Belex15 index rose by 1.2% to 1,275.7 points, representing the highest level of the index since September 2008.

Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS), the most liquid stock in the current year, was the most active stock with a turnover of RSD 4.2m and a decline of 1.3% to 1,720 dinars. Last week, the majority of turnover was achieved at around RSD 1,750.

Belgrade Airport (AERO) saw a 6.3% increase, reaching RSD 2,499 level with a turnover of RSD 3.3m. The stock hit a historical high level and had a significant impact on the index growth. The company announced that the EGM approved a new issue of shares at RSD 1,278.4 per share.

Among the more actively traded shares was Jedinstvo Sevojno (JESV), which recorded a turnover of RSD 2.4m, mostly around the RSD 8,200 level. According to the company’s internal regulations, the last day of the year is set as the record date. This year, the company paid out a dividend amount of RSD 764.7 per share.

Shares in Messer Tehnogas (TGAS) increased by 0.5% to RSD 37,200, with a turnover of RSD 0.8m, while the priority shares in Philip Morris (DINNPB) rose by 1% to RSD 9,600, with a turnover of RSD 0.6m.
