Belex increases for first time since January

The domestic stock market concluded the negative trend that had persisted throughout February. The Belex15 index rose by a modest 0.3% to 1,233.6 points, while the total turnover on the market amounted to RSD 179.8m (EUR 1.5m).

Belgrade Airport (AERO) was the most active stock, with a turnover of RSD 76.3m, while the price consolidated at the RSD 2,000 level. The increased turnover is a consequence of the recently completed new share issue and the increased offer of shares, but the large shareholders have evidently not allowed the price of the stock to fall further. The stock has experienced a decline of arround 15% since the start of the company’s new share issuance.

Shares in Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS) were traded within the range of RSD 1,930-1,950, and closed the week at RSD 1,999. The total turnover amounted to RSD 8.3m.

Other stocks demonstrated lower levels of turnover. Impol Seval (IMPL) remained unchanged at RSD 7,290, with a turnover of RSD 0.8m. The mounting pressure on the company is due to the anticipation of the annual business results, which are expected to demonstrate the company’s performance in the challenging foreign market environment.
