The Serbian stock market closed the first regular week of trading with gains and two stocks dominating the market. Total turnover on the market amounted to RSD 325.3m (EUR 2.8m), while the Belex15 index rose by 0.4% to 881.6 points.

The most active stock was the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIIS), which achieved a solid turnover of RSD 23.8m after a while. The stock ended the week with a slight gain at RSD 813, but most of last week’s turnover was in the RSD 800-810 range. The company will announce its annual results at the end of January when investors would have a rough idea of the expected dividend the company would pay from last year’s profit.

Shares in Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS) rose 7.6% to RSD 993, reaching the RSD 1,000 mark for the first time since the end of November. Total stock turnover amounted to RSD 10.8m.

Messer Tehnogas (TGAS) led the losers with a decline of 5.4% after strong growth at the beginning of the year with a tiny turnover. This week, the stock saw low turnover also, mainly due to the modest offer around the RSD 15,600 level.
