NIS continues downward trend to lowest level since June

The domestic stock market recorded a decline of 0.6%, as measured by the Belex15 index, while investment activity was slightly lower than in the previous week. Total turnover on the market reached RSD 467.2m (around EUR 4.0m ), mainly thanks to government bonds.

The most active stock was the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIIS), which continued its downward trend, losing 2.0% to RSD 775, its lowest level since June this year, right after the dividend cut-off. The total stock turnover amounted to RSD 12.2m.

Belgrade Airport (AERO) remained unchanged at RSD 2,000, with a turnover of RSD 8.1m. The stock has fluctuated around this psychological limit since October, yielding a return of 15.6% in 2024 so far.

Insurer Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS) recorded a slight increase of 0.7% to RSD 1,350. The turnover of this stock amounted to RSD 6.5m and would have been much higher had it not been for the dwindling supply, as many employees of this company sold the stock they received for free two and a half years ago.

Messer Tehnogas (TGAS) fell slightly to RSD 34,680 with a turnover of RSD 3.5m, while Impol Seval (IMPL) led the losers with a slump of 7.3% to RSD 7,139 and a turnover of RSD 2.0m. Impol Seval suffered an H1 loss due to unfavorable trends in the global markets, and despite this, the stock has risen by around 30% since the beginning of the year.
