Belgrade Airport registered its third busiest year on record in 2022 by handling 5.61m passengers.

The figure represents an increase of 70.8% on the year before but is down 8.9% on the pre-pandemic 2019.

The airport’s recovery rate during 2022 is above the European industry average and outperformed the airport’s earlier estimates it would handle some five million travellers during the year.
