A total of 3.58m tourists visited Serbia between January and November 2022, which was a 53.9% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

The number of Serbian tourists was 1.96m, or up by 34.2%, while the number of foreign visitors jumped by 87.3% to 1.61m, the national statistical office has said.

In November alone, the total number of tourist visits was up by 49.2%, the number of Serbian visitors was up by 35.1%, and the number of foreign visitors was up by 68.8%.

The total number of overnight stays in November was up by 39.8%.

Overnight stays by Serbian tourists were up by 40.6% and those generated by foreign tourists were up by 38.7%.

Between the beginning of January and the end of November, overall overnight stays were up by 36.5%.

Overnight stays by Serbian visitors were up by 29.1% and foreign tourists generated 49.6% more overnight stays compared to the same period in 2021.
