Serbia’s trade deficit decreased by 12.7% on the year to EUR 699.9m (USD 746.5m) in January, the country’s statistical office said on Monday.

Exports went up 14.4% to USD 2,342bn in January, while imports rose by 6.4% to USD 3,088bn, the statistical office said in a statement.

The export-import ratio increased to 75.8% in the month under review from 70.5% in January 2022.

Serbia’s trade deficit rose by 44.9% to USD 12.09bn in 2022.
