The Serbian stock market rose by 0.6% last week to 1,139.4 points, as measured by the Belex15 index. Total turnover on the market was a modest RSD 78.3m (EUR 0.7m).

The most active stock was the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIIS), which recorded a turnover of RSD 9.2m, slightly increasing to RSD 814. This company will hold an extraordinary general meeting on Friday, expecting to approve the first corporate bond issue in NIS history. The expected bond issue amount is around EUR 50m for a five-year term.

After several weeks of weaker demand, Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS) returned to RSD 1,300 with an increase of 1.8%. Total stock turnover amounted to RSD 4.6m.

Belgrade Airport (AERO) recorded a slight increase and returned to RSD 2,000 with a turnover of RSD 4.0m, while Gonji Milanovac-based Metalac (MTLC) jumped 1.8% to RSD 1,950 with light trading.

Sevojno-based Jedinstvo (JESV) led the rare losers in the index basket, falling 0.6% to RSD 8,200. This company recently announced that it had canceled its treasury shares, which it had purchased through the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
