Belex drops on low volume, NIS at lowest level since July

The domestic market recorded very weak investment activity, this time not supported by government bonds. The total turnover amounted to RSD 64.7m (EUR 0.6m), while the index of the most liquid shares, Belex15, decreased by 0.2% to 827.9 points.

Insurer Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS) was the most active stock in the index basket with a turnover of RSD 11.8m. During the week, this stock has been trading above the RSD 1,200 mark, with strong demand at this level.

Shares in the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIIS) have continued a negative trend in trading volume. This time the stock price also fell by 1.5% to RSD 611 with a turnover of just RSD 2m. The company will publish its financial reports for Q3 on November 4.

Shares in Metalac (MTLC) recovered slightly to RSD 1,620 with a turnover of RSD 1.2m. The stock is down 12.9% this year, following losses in the previous two years of 4.6 and 1.4%, respectively.

Shares in Belgrade Airport (AERO) closed the week at RSD 1,450 with a turnover of RSD 0.7m, mainly executed at RSD 1,500 level. The airport, run by French VINCI, handled 605,596 passengers in September, representing a 6.4% decrease from the pre-pandemic 2019 and its second-best result for the month on record. During the first three quarters of the year, the airport welcomed 4.18m travelers through its doors, down 12% from three years ago.
