Belex slightly up, Dunav Osiguranje tops RSD 1,000

Last week saw a recovery in turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, primarily thanks to the government bonds. The index of the most liquid shares, Belex15, increased by 0.6% to 874.4 points, while the total turnover reached RSD 1.9bn (EUR 16.3m).

Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS) was again the most active stock among the index Belex15 basket, reaching the psychological barrier of RSD 1,000. Shares in this insurance company jumped almost 3% to RSD 997 with a turnover of RSD 7.2m. The stock reached its monthly high of RSD 1,050 a week earlier but did not stay at these levels for long. The total weekly turnover amounted to RSD 7.2m.

Shares in the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIIS) have once again traded in a narrow price range with a slight price increase to RSD 715. The stock turnover amounted to only RSD 2.2m. On Thursday, NIS will announce Q2 numbers, and widely expected the company will announce lower profitability compared to the previous year when extremely high crude oil prices occurred.

Impol Seval (IMPL) led the gainers, reaching an RSD 6,000 level on low volume. Shares in this aluminum rolling mill jumped 3.5%, while since the beginning of the year, they have recorded a growth of 24%. Gornji Milanovac-based Metalac (MTLC) jumped 3.2%, reaching an RSD 1,600 level again.

Belgrade Airport (AERO) was on the losing side last week, decreasing 2% to RSD 2,055 with a turnover of less than RSD 1m. At the same time, concessionaire VINCI announced that the airport in Belgrade posted record traffic in June and the first six months. The airport served 3.29m passengers in the first six months, representing an annual growth of 53.4% and 25.8% more than in 2019.
