The domestic stock market broke a two-week upward trend with a sharp drop in weak investment activity. Total turnover on the market amounted to RSD 111.5m (less than EUR 1m), while the index of the most liquid shares, Belex15, weakened by 0.2% to 1,021.5 points.

The Belgrade Airport (AERO) was the most active stock, which remained “cemented” at RSD 1,900. The total turnover in trading with this stock was RSD 3.9m. This company has the second largest market capitalization in the index basket of RSD 66.5bn (around EUR 567m), but the low number of free shares limits turnover.

Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS) decreased by 2.2% to RSD 1,125 on a turnover of RSD 3.0m. Despite this decline, Dunav has gained around 20% since the beginning of the year in anticipation of the company’s announcement of better half-year results.

The Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIIS) has continued its struggle with low turnover after announcing poor H1 numbers. Shares in the largest company on the bourse fell 0.6% to RSD 785 on a turnover of RSD 2.3m.

Gornji Milanovac-based Metalac (MTLC) fell by 2.3% to RSD 1,680 on turnover of RSD 1.1m, while Jedinstvo Sevojno (JESV) rose by 6.2% to RSD 8,242, but with light trading. Among the gainers was Messer Tehnogas (TGAS), which rose 2% to RSD 25,500 with increasing demand at the RSD 25,000 level.
