NIS lowest since August, Belex decreases 0.5%

The domestic stock market saw a slight decline last week amid very modest investment activity. The index of the most liquid shares, Belex15, fell by 0.5% to 1,141.4 points, with the total market turnover reaching RSD 61.7m (EUR 0.5m).

The most actively traded stock was Belgrade Airport (AERO), which recorded a turnover of RSD 16.8m, primarily at RSD 2,000 per share. This company is in charge of the concession process for the airport in Belgrade, which has displayed slow growth in recent months. In October, passenger growth slowed to 1.1%, and in the first ten months of the year, 7.2m passengers utilized the airport, reflecting an annual increase of 7.2%.

The Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIIS) fell to the psychological level of RSD 800 for the first time since August, with a total market turnover of RSD 7.8m and a stock price decrease of 1.2%.

Messer Tehnogas (TGAS), a producer and distributor of technical gases, saw its share price drop by 1.3% to RSD 34,020, with a turnover of RSD 6.1m. This is the first time in a long while that the stock has broken its upward trend, which had been driven by strong market demand following Messer’s second takeover bid.

Shares in Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS) increased by 1.7% to RSD 1,328, with a turnover of RSD 3.1m. Since the beginning of the year, the stock has risen by approximately 35%, although it remains at half its value compared to the times before the distribution of free shares to employees.

Energoprojekt Holding (ENHL) experienced the largest decline, dropping 4.1% to RSD 375, while Impol Seval (IMPL), also with low turnover, fell 3.1% to RSD 7,750.
