Belgrade Airport handled 605,596 passengers in September, representing a 6.4% decrease on the pre-pandemic 2019 and its second-best result for the month on record, portal EX-Yu Aviation reported.

The number of commercial aircraft movements stood at 96.7% of pre-Covid levels. During the first three quarters of the year, Belgrade Airport welcomed 4.18m travelers through its doors, down 12% from three years ago. Commercial aircraft movements stood at 49,311 for the same period.

Operator VINCI said Belgrade saw a surge in passenger numbers out of European routes, with figures on flights to Turkey growing 43% on 2019 levels.
