The last five trading days on the BSE saw modest turnover with a slight decline in the stock market indices. Total turnover amounted to RSD 143.4m (EUR 1.2m), while the index of the most liquid stocks, Belex15, declined by 0.6% to 875.8 points.

For the first time in a long while, the most active stock was the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIIS), which closed the week at RSD 808, down slightly by 0.4%. The total turnover of the stock amounted to RSD 18.9m. The company adopted a business plan for 2024 and announced a planned capital expenditure of RSD 59.7bn. Next year’s CAPEX, when a regular overhaul of the Pancevo refinery is scheduled, could be the company’s record CAPEX since the privatization.

Shares in Dunav Osiguranje (DNOS) rose slightly to RSD 958 on a turnover of RSD4.0m, while preferred shares in Philip Morris (DINNPB) slipped below the RSD 8,000 mark on a turnover of RSD 0.9m. The stock will be ex-dividend on Thursday, December 28.

Gornji Milanovac-based Metalac (MTLC) recovered another 1% to RSD 1,555 on low turnover, effectively returning to the level it stood at before the sharp drop in early December. Messer Tehnogas (TGAS) fell 4.4% to RSD 15,606 on a turnover of RSD 0.7m, having previously reached a two-month high of RSD 16,400.
